The Finance
Council is responsible for administrating all the financial affairs
of the parish, creating the budget each year and advising parish
council on the financial aspects of major projects.
Information
about financial matters is given to the parish at large through
the weekly bulletin.
Finance Council
meetings are held as required throughout the year. The chairperson
meets regularly with the Pastor, Parish Secretary and Parish Council
Chairperson to deal with routine financial matters. Finance Council
chairperson also attends the monthly Parish Pastoral Council meeting
(third Tuesday).
Chairperson
for the Finance Council is to be elected during the odd years, according
to the Bylaws of St. Cecilia Councils. Any diversion is at the direction
of the parish priest for situations that warrant an extension of
the chairperson's term.
