St. Cecilia's
Men's Club was formed in 1954 by a group of individuals who saw
a need to raise funds to help both the parish and the less fortunate.
More information
on the Men's Club history is in the Archdiocese
of Regina: A History
Friday night
bingo is their main fundraising event, and through this, the Men's
Club has been able to help many charitable organizations and assist
financially with projects within the parish.
Other contributions to the parish are in liturgical functions, such
as ushering and counting of the offering.
Once a month, Men's Club members put on a bingo for the residents
at Santa Maria Senior Citizens' Home. They assist residents in playing,
and serve them lunch.
Members work
hard and enjoy the companionship and camaraderie of fellow parishioners.
Fundraising
requires volunteers and new members are always welcome. Meetings
are held the first Monday of the month (7:30 p.m., Burns Room).
