Parish Community
Building is a subcommittee of the Stewardship Committee.
The purpose of Parish Community Building is to organize and carry
out social functions and celebrations to build community among parishioners,
with our separate schools, with other parishes, other churches and
our communities of Rosemont area and Regina.
This
committee works with other parish committees and the pastor to host
annual events such as:
- Family Fun
Day (January or February)
- Shrove Tuesday
Pancake Supper
- Parish Garage
Sale (June)
- High Tea
(our most popular event)
- Easter Vigil
reception
- bus trip
to Caronport Christmas musical
Parish Community
Building also hosts other occasional events.
Our core committee includes six or eight dedicated inviduals, as
well as Fr. Weckend.
Want to help
out? Meet new people and have fun! Volunteers are always welcome.
Students seeking service hours are also welcome for specific events.
Parish council
chairperson for Parish Community Building are to be elected during
the even years.
The Parish Community
Building chairperson also attends the monthly Parish Council meeting
(third Tuesday) to provide a report and participate in the activities
of Parish Pastoral Council.
